The EMNESS project aims to create an interconnected European network of Universities that will create a high-quality educational program for Reliability and Hardware Security.  The goal will be to enhance the existing educational programs and promote new learning and teaching approaches through digital technology and international collective work. The expected outcomes of the project are enlisted below:

  • improvement and renovation of the existing courses and laboratories;
  • creation of new courses;
  • mobility of the professors to work at an international level;
  • upskilling of the students;
  • improvement of the digital skills of the professors and the students.

Three work packages, focusing on three different scientific axes, will be realized:

  • Work Package 1 (WP1): Software and system-level safety and security solutions against hardware vulnerabilities (Leader: Grenoble INP Esisar)
  • Work Package 2 (WP2): Development of an actual case study (taking into account certification) (Leader: Politecnico di Torino, Grenoble INP Phelma)
  • Work Package 3 (WP3): Safety and security of HW primitives (Cipher blocks, PUF, JTAG…) (Leader: University of Piraeus)
